Britain throws away 8 million nappies a day!
WEN launched the Toolkit, a presenting aid to help inform parents about the choices in modern washable nappies, and a training programme in October 2005. Since then 180 midwives and health visitors in London have been trained.
Parents are entitled to know that the council will subsidise them a £50 voucher on real nappies that are cotton and are naturally absorbent and easy to clean. This is a greener option as disposable nappies contain chemicals contributing to high carbon emissions.
The Session at Tower Hamlets college went well today we definitely raised awareness among the young early year worker students.
